I found simulation results that handover latency increases for higher speeds of the mobile station and as the value of lgd_factor_ (sensitivity of link failure detection) increases, the handover latency for higher speeds going reduced. The routing protocol used in the simulation is NOAH.

1. Why does handover latency increase for higher speed of the MSS?

2. Why does the Link Going Down Trigger increase improve ( reduce ) the handover latency for higher MSS speeds?

3. Does the increase of the value of lgd_factor_ have negative effects on the performance of the Mobile WiMAX networks? what?

4. What about the effect of the routing protocol NOAH on the handover latency as the MSS speed increases?
