Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has launched the first Indian WiMAX commercial network in Ajmer, Rajasthan in partnership with India Communications Corporation Limited (BSNL), announced the leading Chinese telecommunications equipment provider.
The WiMAX network mainly provides high-speed data service for remote rural areas of the country, helping local residents to get the latest information relating to business, education, and medical treatment.
Huawei has provided BSNL with WiMAX 802.16e, the latest mobile broadband solution. It is a portable mobile access solution that is available for roaming and handover.
